        Back to Services

With an in-house Valve Automation Department at our Dallas headquarters, 4-STAR Hose offers engineered actuated valve assemblies that are custom built for your specific application.

Direct mount style ball valves are stocked in both carbon and stainless steel with threaded, socket weld and flanged end connections. Butterfly valves are available in both lug and wafer body styles with a variety of different seat and disc materials. Limit switches, solenoids and positioners can be added to ensure you have what the application demands.

All automated valve assemblies are tested and cycled before leaving our shop. A metal tag containing a unique serial number is added to all actuated packages for traceability purposes. Operate with peace of mind knowing you have exactly what is needed to get the job done right.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT VALVE FOR YOUR APPLICATION

Every application is different and it is important that you get the right type, material, and size of valve to ensure it meets your needs. Give our experts a call today and we will help you find the exact match for your project.

Application Conditions: Choose your valve based on the media type, pressure, and temperature. For slurry or wastewater, pinch valves or butterfly valves work best. Stainless steel valves handle corrosive fluids well. When dealing with high pressure or temperature choose an elastomer that can withstand the toughest of conditions.

Function (On/Off, Control, Check): How do you want your valve to operate? Do you want it automated or manual? There are different options depending on what you need. For simple on/off control, industrial ball valves are a reliable choice. When you need precise flow control, v-port control ball valves or globe valves deliver better results. To stop backflow, check valves are essential.

Size: Make sure you are choosing the right size port configuration for your application. Standard port offers less flow than the same size valve in a full port.

Connection: Make sure your end connections match your installation. Flanged valves bolt to pipe flanges, while lower pressure applications may use threaded connections. No matter where your valve needs to go, we have the right connection to get the job done.
