The Center Punch band is the most common method of securing a hose fitting into an industrial hose. Here at 4-STAR Hose & Supply we train our hose coupling specialists to off-set the “buckles” of each band to 180 degrees to help prevent leak paths, as well as to space the bands apart between the grooves in the shank to obtain optimum grip for a secure leak free connection. The “hand banding tool” allows for on-site hose banding when a hose requires immediate assistance.
